    About the role#

    The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking an intern to support the Payments Forum. This role contributes to the Federal Reserve Payments Study, which is a comprehensive analysis of noncash payments in the United States. You will work directly with the Research Department to gather and validate data from financial institutions and payment networks.

    What you'll do#

    • Recruit depository and financial institutions, major card networks, payments processors, and card issuers for study participation.
    • Perform data submission and validation activities to ensure accuracy.
    • Assist respondents throughout the data submission process.
    • Encourage participation from a wide range of industry partners.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, with a preference for economics majors.
    • A willingness to commit to both the Spring and Summer 2027 semesters.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Creativity in problem-solving and a high level of organization.
    • Keen attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

    Location & details#

    • This internship is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
    • The role is available on-site, hybrid, or remote, though on-site work is preferred for the summer semester.
    • You must be available to work 15 hours per week during the Spring semester (January to early May) and 30 hours per week during the Summer semester (late May to early August).
    • Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
    • This is a paid, part-time, temporary position.
