    About the role#

    As a Research Analyst (RA) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, you will support economic research and policy projects. You will work directly with staff economists to analyze public policy issues, including monetary policy and the global economy. This role is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist staff economists with the analysis of public policy, financial markets, and housing markets.
    • Run and maintain financial, banking, and macroeconomic forecasting models.
    • Prepare background materials for briefings with the Atlanta Fed president.
    • Provide statistical and computational analysis to support ongoing research.
    • Contribute to a broad array of applied and theoretical research topics.

    What you'll need#

    • A college degree with a strong academic record in economics, mathematics, finance, statistics, or computer science.
    • Proficiency in at least one statistical software package or programming language, such as Stata, R, Python, SQL, Julia, or Matlab.
    • A willingness and ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
    • Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively.
    • Experience working with micro data is a plus.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
    • Modality: This position is on-site. You are required to work from the office according to the schedule set by management.
    • Sponsorship: This role does not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States on a continuous basis.
