About the role#
This internship provides experience in the financial services industry while offering insight into the role of Federal Home Loan Banks in providing funding and liquidity to mortgage markets. You will gain knowledge from industry experts regarding mortgage underwriting, lending practices, and asset valuation.
What you'll do#
- Perform analysis of the Bank collateral.
- Examine loan documents for various types of mortgage loans.
- Create and review reports for the department and the Bank.
- Learn about loan documentation, secured lending practices, and warehouse lending.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or real estate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to listen to and accept instruction.
- A positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Power Automate is a plus.
