About the role#
We are looking for a summer intern to join the Model Risk Management team for the summer 2027 term. This is an on-site, part-time role based in Chicago. You will gain hands-on experience in financial services by working on projects that support model validation and governance.
What you'll do#
- Support model validation and risk governance through technical and administrative tasks.
- Perform quantitative testing and qualitative reviews to assist in model validation.
- Identify and report potential model risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure model risk is managed effectively.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support initiatives related to models.
- Present testing results to the Model Risk Management team, model owners, and other stakeholders.
- Research methods to automate or improve current modeling processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on a quantitative discipline, such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- An interest in risk management and model validation.
- A basic understanding of fixed income securities and data analysis.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
