About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience with process optimization in financial services. You will join the Enterprise Risk Management department to work on projects that monitor and evaluate the operational risk exposure of the bank. You will contribute to team efforts, share new perspectives, and help develop solutions to improve business outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the execution and improvement of risk assessment processes.
- Collect and report on operational risk event data.
- Evaluate operational risk exposure using internal and external data sources.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor operational risk metrics including key risk and performance indicators.
- Facilitate the review and update of operational risk standards and procedures.
- Support the oversight of operational risk areas such as vendor management, business resiliency, and financial reporting.
- Maintain and improve the tools used for tracking loss events, risk assessments, and risk acceptances.
- Participate in enterprise risk management projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited four-year institution.
- A GPA of at least 3.0 and good academic standing.
- An academic track in business, finance, law, technology, accounting, or a related field.
