Academy Performance Analyst Intern

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in performance analysis at the elite level within the FC Cincinnati Academy. The position is a paid, part-time role requiring up to 28 hours per week, running from February through December 2027. The schedule is dictated by team fixtures and requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you'll do#

• Capture and code academy training sessions both live and post-training.
• Utilize training data to provide feedback to coaches and players.
• Capture academy fixtures at both home and away locations, performing both live and post-match analysis.
• Generate KPIs for individual and team performance during fixtures.
• Create educational videos based on the coaching syllabus, using footage from the first team and other leagues to demonstrate best practices.
• Produce post-match analysis videos for coaches and players.
• Collaborate with the club's data analyst to establish benchmarking for academy players.
• Assist the Head of Performance Analysis and Director of Player Development with ad-hoc tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Performance Analysis, Kinesiology, Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, or a related sports field.
• US Soccer D coaching qualification or an equivalent certification.
• Strong technical and tactical knowledge of soccer.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
