About the role#
This internship offers experience in performance analysis at the elite level. You will work within the Academy Analysis Department to support coaching staff and player development. The role runs from February through December 2027, requiring up to 28 hours per week. Your schedule will align with team fixtures, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll do#
- Capture academy training sessions and code them live or post-session.
- Use training data to provide feedback to coaches and players.
- Record academy fixtures, both home and away, using live and post-match methods.
- Create post-match analysis videos for use by players and coaches.
- Label academy fixtures to generate key performance indicators for teams and individuals.
- Produce educational videos based on the coaching syllabus to demonstrate best practices.
- Collaborate with the club data analyst to establish benchmarks for academy players.
- Complete additional tasks as requested by the Head of Performance Analysis and the Director of Player Development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to performance analysis, kinesiology, public health, health administration, communications, or other sports-related fields.
- A US Soccer D coaching license or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong technical and tactical knowledge of soccer.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during irregular hours.
