About the role#
This is a year-round, full-time Sales Intern position based at our headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. You will work directly with our sales team to manage customer relationships and commercial processes within the automotive manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain relationships with key customer contacts in purchasing, engineering, and program management.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels at regular intervals and after significant project milestones.
- Assist in preparing commercial offers to ensure they meet customer deadlines.
- Analyze costing files to help define pricing strategies and negotiation tactics.
- Draft commercial offers using appropriate language and documentation.
- Apply internal guidelines for contractual management, including the handling of engineering change requests.
- Manage commercial aspects of spare parts, prototypes, and product margins.
- Support sales administration processes such as purchase orders, invoicing, and payment terms.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a specific focus on Excel and reporting.
- Comfort working with financial data and analytical tasks.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- A results-oriented mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
