About the role#
We are hiring an Actuarial Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in West Des Moines, Iowa. You will work directly with our actuarial staff to support core insurance functions.
What you'll do#
- Support actuarial staff with modeling, pricing, and valuation activities.
- Assist with data analysis and the validation of actuarial reports.
- Research industry trends that impact our life insurance products.
- Participate in team meetings and project updates.
- Document processes and methodologies for future reference.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Progress toward actuarial exams is preferred.
