About the role#
This internship is a 10 to 14 week program running from May through August 2027. You will join our service-oriented data and AI platform team to build and deploy a real AI agent. You will work alongside a mentor engineer to turn business problems into functional AI solutions and contribute to shared platform capabilities. This role involves active participation in team planning, code reviews, and stand-ups. You will present your work at the midpoint and end of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Build and deploy an AI agent, including managing context and handling model outputs.
- Contribute to shared platform capabilities like observability or developer tooling.
- Write tests for your code and follow team standards for quality and security.
- Add logging, metrics, and tracing to monitor agent health and costs.
- Measure the performance of existing AI solutions by converting failures into test cases.
- Document your work for hand-off to other engineers.
- Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches to team projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year college or university, graduating August 2027 or later.
- Pursuit of a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with AI development projects or previous internships.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
