About the role#
Family Health Centers of San Diego is hiring an Architectural Drafter Intern to support our Design Department. Working under the supervision of the Manager of Architecture and Design, you will use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare documents and assist with various project tasks. This is a part-time position requiring 12 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist with programming and schematic design, including site visits and field verifications.
- Prepare design presentations and renderings.
- Review construction documents and perform redlining.
- Research materials, products, and potential manufacturers.
- Research jurisdictional requirements and code compliance.
- Generate furniture and commissioning plans and schedules.
- Maintain an organized file system.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for construction document preparation.
- Knowledge of architectural concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- A valid California driver’s license and an automobile for travel between sites.
