About the role#
We are looking for a Finance Intern to join our New York office and work directly with our Controller. This is a hands-on position where you will work with real financial data, transactions, and reporting. You will gain experience in how automation and AI can improve finance processes and help manage large datasets.
What you'll do#
- Support accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Maintain accurate financial data records.
- Reconcile high-volume media spend and learn the mechanics of revenue in an AdTech environment.
- Assist with month-end close activities and the preparation of financial reports.
- Support the team with forecasting and financial modeling.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Business Analytics.
- Coursework or experience in bookkeeping, finance, accounting, or data analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including comfort with large datasets.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies.
- A proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting systems is a plus.
- An interest in SaaS, AdTech, automation, or financial technology.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in Midtown Manhattan, New York City.
- Schedule: 20-30 hours per week, with at least 4 days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
