About the role#
Equativ is looking for a Treasury and Cash Collection Intern to join the finance team in Montreal. This one-year internship focuses primarily on cash collection, which makes up 90% of the role, with cash management tasks introduced gradually as you become familiar with the business environment and processes.
What you'll do#
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with clients via email and phone.
- Help resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Prepare aging reports and analyze overdue accounts.
- Reconcile old accounts and identify discrepancies.
- Keep accurate records of collection actions and support escalation when necessary.
- Support cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and cash allocation.
- Contribute to process improvement and AI-related projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing studies in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to learn quickly.
- Organized, rigorous, and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Comfortable speaking with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to engage in direct conversations or address difficult situations when needed.
- Interest in AI, automation, and optimizing workflows.
