About the role#
This is a one-year internship focused on collections and treasury within the finance department. The role is primarily dedicated to collections, which accounts for approximately 90% of the responsibilities. Treasury tasks represent the remaining 10% and are introduced gradually once you are familiar with the company's business environment and processes. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, and finance colleagues to manage payments, reconcile accounts, and support process improvement projects.
What you'll do#
- Follow up on outstanding invoices with clients.
- Prepare aging reports and analyze overdue accounts.
- Reconcile old accounts and identify discrepancies.
- Communicate with clients, sales, and internal teams via email and phone to resolve payment issues and disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities and support escalation processes.
- Assist with treasury tasks including cash flow reporting, bank reconciliation, and cash allocation.
- Contribute to process improvement projects, including initiatives involving artificial intelligence and automation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance or Business Administration.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proactive approach and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
- Interest in artificial intelligence, automation, and optimizing work methods.
- Comfort managing direct conversations regarding payments.
