About the role#
EquiTrust Life Insurance Company is hiring an Actuarial Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will support product development, pricing, and management for index annuities, fixed annuities, and life insurance. This role involves working with the actuarial team and other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What you'll do#
- Perform system testing and quality control for new products, enhancements, and system changes.
- Conduct competitive studies and summarize key findings.
- Collect and analyze data and perform experience studies.
- Research and resolve issues using problem-solving skills.
- Support the actuarial team and other departments on special projects.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Preference for students who have passed at least one actuarial exam.
