About the role#
We are looking for a senior level or graduate student to join our Accounting team in Columbia, Missouri. This internship takes place during Winter 2027. You will work on-site at our headquarters to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting and operations.
What you'll do#
- Shadow members of the Accounting and Financial Reporting team to learn daily operations.
- Assist with journal entries, data entry, and accounting research.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and macros to manage and report data.
- Help reconcile accounts and support month end closing tasks.
- Prepare financial reports, analyze trends, and perform peer company comparisons.
- Document process flows for key business processes, including internal controls and risk identification.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and track information.
- Take on additional tasks to learn more about office operations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A basic understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Completion of various accounting courses.
- Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- A positive attitude and a desire to take on new challenges.
- Excellent communication skills.
