About the role#
The Social Web team builds the interfaces players use to connect across the Epic ecosystem, including titles like Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys. As an intern, you will work directly in our production codebase to ship real features that reach millions of players. You will receive mentorship through the full lifecycle of a feature, from initial design to final deployment.
What you'll do#
- Build and ship features using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Partner with senior engineers to design and implement UI components and user flows for the social overlay experience.
- Debug issues and contribute fixes across the front end with guidance from your team.
- Participate in code reviews to build strong engineering habits.
- Take ownership of a well-scoped project or feature from planning through to shipping.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Coursework or project experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with React or another modern front-end framework.
- A strong interest in distributed systems.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Cary, North Carolina.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The term is rolling with a flexible start date in 2027.
