About the role#
We are looking for motivated Audiology Externs to join our team for the 2027-2028 term. This is a paid, full-time externship that provides hands-on clinical experience. You will work alongside experienced audiologists, otolaryngologists, and otologists in a high-volume office environment. We offer a structured curriculum designed to support your clinical and educational goals throughout the year.
What you'll do#
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological testing for pediatric and adult patients.
- Perform hearing aid evaluations, fittings, follow-ups, and troubleshooting.
- Engage in vestibular testing and other specialized diagnostic procedures.
- Build rapport with patients and gather medical histories.
- Provide counseling across all service areas.
- Participate in dedicated educational sessions, including manufacturer trainings and professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant academic program such as Biology, Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Psychology.
- Prior hands-on externship experience.
- Practical experience with audiological services.
- Proficiency in patient rapport-building and counseling.
- Knowledge of hearing aid fitting processes.
