About the role#
As an HR Student Intern, you will join our corporate team to gain exposure to various human resources disciplines. This role involves working on cross-functional projects and providing administrative support to our HR staff. You will gain practical experience across organizational development, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
What you'll do#
- Support projects and initiatives in organizational development, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
- Research and provide recommendations on workforce trends, HR best practices, and employee engagement.
- Assist with recruitment tasks, such as reviewing job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and preparing for career fairs.
- Gather data and analyze trends to support employee relations and communication efforts.
- Help with organizational development programs, including leadership training, learning initiatives, and talent reviews.
- Participate in the pre-boarding and onboarding process for new staff.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials to support HR programs.
- Complete assignments accurately and on time while actively learning about the profession.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, with preference for junior or senior status.
- A degree path in human resources, business administration, psychology, organizational leadership, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care.
- Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous coursework or experience in human resources is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site at our Birmingham, Alabama home office.
- The term runs from June 7, 2027, through July 30, 2027.
