About the role#
ESAero is hiring an engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Luis Obispo, California. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the full product lifecycle, from initial design and prototyping to final testing and delivery.
What you'll do#
- Assist with engineering tasks across the full product lifecycle.
- Help develop solutions for technical problems.
- Build, assemble, and set up equipment.
- Create and test prototypes.
- Use machining tools to modify and fabricate parts.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and work packets.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
What you'll need#
- You are a current junior or senior engineering student, or a recent engineering graduate.
- You have a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- You can communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- You have demonstrated experience applying engineering principles to solve problems.
- You have a hands-on mindset and are ready to work directly with hardware.
- You are able to follow safety requirements at all times.

- Compensation: This position is paid at $20 to $25 per hour.
