About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work alongside project teams to support the planning, execution, and management of heavy civil projects. The program focuses on field operations, project support, and equipment familiarity to help you build a foundation for your career.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams on the planning and execution of construction projects.
- Assist with project documentation including reports, plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Spend time on construction sites to observe and participate in daily activities.
- Gain exposure to heavy equipment operations under the guidance of experienced operators.
- Communicate with crew members, subcontractors, and project staff to keep projects on track.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant degree program or technical school, such as Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong academic performance.
- A genuine interest in the construction industry.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to the requirements of a construction site.

- Location: Columbia, MO.
- Term: Summer 2027 (typically May through August).
- Status: Full-time, on-site, and paid.
