About the role#
The Production Engineer Co-op supports our engineering and operations teams at the Cincinnati manufacturing facility. You will work on process improvement, equipment evaluations, and production troubleshooting. This role provides hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment to support your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in evaluating production processes to improve safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Collect and analyze production data to spot trends or process opportunities.
- Help troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures, training documentation, and work instructions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects like Lean, 5S, and waste reduction.
- Support equipment testing, process trials, and maintenance coordination.
- Work with operators, technicians, and engineering staff to meet daily production needs.
- Support safety programs and ensure adherence to policies.
- Handle general project tasks such as research, data entry, and equipment checks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- A strong interest in hands-on manufacturing and process improvement.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate your findings clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic engineering tools.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work well in a team.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Work Modality: On-site in a manufacturing facility.
- Employment: Full-time co-op on a rolling basis.
- Requirements: You will need to wear PPE and spend time on the production floor, which may involve standing, walking, or occasional lifting.
