About the role#
Emerson is seeking a Test Engineering Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This full-time position involves designing and implementing software test systems to verify and validate safety-critical measurement and analytical instrumentation used in industrial automation. You will work on-site at one of our Minnesota locations.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement automated tests and test infrastructure.
- Participate in technical reviews of product requirements, test plans, and implementation strategies.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and manufacturing teams to solve engineering challenges.
- Analyze change requests to evaluate their impact on testing procedures and product quality.
- Support global manufacturing test systems by troubleshooting, maintaining, and deploying test stations.
- Develop hardware interfaces and documentation like service manuals and troubleshooting guides.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in-person.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Zero years of related experience is required.
