About the role#
As a Process Automation Engineer Intern, you will support control systems projects across various industries. This role provides hands-on experience in plant automation and industrial control systems, including exposure to Emerson DeltaV engineering tools and HMI applications. You will work on projects involving automation control and safety systems.
What you'll do#
- Participate in control systems modernization and greenfield projects.
- Assist project team members with the development, update, and quality check of project deliverables such as network architecture diagrams, instrumentation databases, cabinet drawings, and software configuration.
- Perform heat and power calculations.
- Maintain networking and virtualization infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain project databases.
- Execute hardware and software testing based on project specifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Power Engineering Technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Access.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not provided for this role.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Completed coursework in automation, control systems, or process control is preferred.
- Exposure to Industrial Control Systems is a plus.
