About the role#
Emerson Test & Measurement is looking for a Business Operations Intern to help transform how we make business decisions. You will partner with leaders, data analysts, and AI practitioners to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency. Your work will contribute directly to our AI transformation across the Portfolio Business Unit.
What you'll do#
- Identify business processes that can be improved or automated using AI technologies.
- Develop AI-powered solutions to streamline reporting, analysis, knowledge management, and operational workflows.
- Use Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Power BI, and other tools to improve productivity.
- Analyze sales, forecast, customer, and operational data to find trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Design and test AI use cases for forecasting, business reviews, market intelligence, or customer insights.
- Create reusable AI prompts, workflows, and best practices for use across teams.
- Present recommendations and proof-of-concept solutions to business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Interest in artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Experience working with data using Excel or similar tools.
- Ability to translate business challenges into data-driven recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear and concise communication and presentation skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
