About the role#
This is a paid summer internship for the 2027 season. You will join a branch underwriting department to gain hands-on experience with insurance processes. This position is remote for candidates who live in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island.
What you'll do#
- Help underwriters gather the information they need to evaluate new business and renewal submissions.
- Communicate with agents and other external sources.
- Learn about company culture, internal business processes, and our specific insurance products.
- Develop a practical understanding of how the underwriting process works.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing. Preference is given to students who have completed their junior year.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in property casualty insurance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Analytical capabilities to help with problem-solving and decision-making.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with personal computers.
