About the role#
This is a paid summer internship based in Iowa. You will work within a branch claims department to gain practical experience in the insurance industry. This role is full time and offers an opportunity to learn about company culture, business processes, and the claims lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Assist the claims team with the investigation, negotiation, and disposition of minor multi-line claims.
- Develop an understanding of the insurance claims process.
- Learn about EMC products and internal business operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Business Administration major, with preference given to students who have completed their junior year.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in property casualty insurance.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Close attention to detail and sound decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with personal computers.
