About the role#
As a Bioengineering Intern, you will support the design and development of medical diagnostic products. You will work alongside experienced professionals to move projects from initial design through to market release. This role involves applying engineering, biology, and biomechanical principles to help create new methodologies, materials, and processes.
What you'll do#
- Conduct feasibility studies and maintain detailed research and development documentation.
- Assist in developing research plans and collecting data using technical resources.
- Support the research and development of reagents, reagent systems, and biological controls.
- Design and execute test protocols and experiments to verify that product designs meet specifications.
- Participate in benchtop and in vitro experiments to test theoretical propositions.
- Analyze experimental data and prepare internal project reports.
- Provide technical support to production and engineering functions.
- Collaborate with design engineers and project leaders to solve development problems.
- Support documentation efforts consistent with formal Quality Systems.
- Assist in project planning and production scale-up activities.
- Help train personnel or customers as needed.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

- This is an on-site position located in Logan, Utah.
- The role is full-time and paid.
- This is a rolling term position.
