About the role#
As a Finance Intern, you will support strategic financial planning and analysis processes. You will receive an orientation to the company and the health benefits industry while gaining practical experience. You will have the opportunity to work alongside teams in accounting, finance, actuarial, and operations. This is a 10-week, full-time program running from May 17, 2027, to July 25, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, trend analyses, and expense accruals.
- Create and enter financial journal data.
- Compile and prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BA/BS degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant business major at an accredited college or university.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including the ability to manipulate large data sets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities through academic, professional, or community experiences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Interest in the healthcare industry and experience or interest in using AI-enabled tools for analysis, automation, or productivity.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring associates to be in-office 1 to 2 days per week.
- Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
