About the role#
The Palumbo-Donahue School of Business is looking for students to join the administrative team as Office Assistants. You will act as a first point of contact for the school, helping with daily operations and supporting faculty, staff, and visitors. This role offers professional office experience and helps you build skills in communication, organization, and teamwork.
What you'll do#
- Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and other visitors.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Sort, distribute, and retrieve incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Scan, copy, file, and organize departmental documents.
- Support classroom operations by checking and replenishing supplies like markers and paper.
- Assist staff with administrative projects and event preparation.
- Help maintain clean and organized office and classroom environments.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility for and an active award of Federal Work-Study funding.
- Official employment clearance before starting work.
- Enrollment in a major outside of the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general office equipment.
- Professional communication skills and a dependable, organized approach to tasks.

- This position is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
