About the role#
Duininck Golf offers a hands-on internship for students interested in the construction industry. You will report to the on-site Project Superintendent and gain experience across various facets of golf course development, including renovations and new course construction. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Project Superintendents, Estimators, Project Managers, and the General Manager.
- Work alongside laborers to learn all aspects of golf course construction.
- Manage small crews and assist with scheduling and critical path timelines.
- Participate in construction meetings with owners, architects, and engineers.
- Handle as-built plans, plan reading, and surveying tasks.
- Document daily activities and perform project safety checks.
- Assist with estimating and quantity takeoffs.
What you'll need#
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Physical capability to walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including Saturdays, outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed for project sites.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
