About the role#
Duininck Companies is hiring a Golf Course Construction Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Atlanta, Georgia. You will report to the on-site Project Superintendent and gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of golf course construction, including renovations, restorations, and new course development.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Project Superintendents, Estimator/Project Managers, and the General Manager.
- Work alongside laborers to learn all aspects of golf course construction.
- Manage small crews and assist with scheduling and critical path timelines.
- Participate in construction meetings with owners, architects, and engineers.
- Handle as-built plans, plan reading, and surveying tasks.
- Document daily activities and conduct project safety checks.
- Perform estimating and quantity takeoff duties.
What you'll need#
- Adherence to all safety regulations and Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Physical capability to walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit.
- Capacity to work extended hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel and work on Saturdays.
