About the role#
Dubak Electrical Group offers a 10-week summer internship for students interested in industrial electrical construction. This program provides hands-on experience in controls, automation, and project engineering. You will work with experienced professionals to prepare for a potential career path as an Associate Controls Engineer.
What you'll do#
- Learn the basics of controls, automation, and project engineering through a structured program.
- Develop an understanding of the electrical construction industry and project scopes of work.
- Design industrial control panels to UL508A standards using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Develop PLC programs in Studio5000 and HMI programs with FactoryTalk View.
- Gain experience with 3D design in SolidWorks and technical writing for functional design specifications.
- Troubleshoot control systems and assist with onsite startup and commissioning.
- Collaborate with team members across departments while meeting project deadlines.
- Use software tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree program.
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior academic standing.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Strong math aptitude skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, listen well, and ask insightful questions.
- Interest in building a career within the construction industry.

- Term: Summer 2027, starting June 7, 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
