About the role#
Dragonfly Health is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy and clinical operations. This role focuses on delivering high-quality service to hospice partners while maintaining accurate patient records and managing high volumes of inbound communication. You will work on-site in New Hyde Park, NY, as part of a team dedicated to providing essential pharmaceutical services.
What you'll do#
- Manage a high volume of inbound calls efficiently while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and assist with service-related concerns, including package tracking and reporting.
- Maintain accurate patient records by processing admissions, demographic updates, and medication refills.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects, including supporting local pharmacy fulfillment operations and claims adjudication.
- Deliver exceptional service to hospice partners and ensure all documentation meets organizational and regulatory standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of pharmacy.
- Current registration with the board of pharmacy for the state of residence.
- Previous pharmacy experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
