About the role#
This internship provides college juniors and graduate students the chance to work within the newsrooms of The Wall Street Journal and WSJ. Magazine. You will receive mentorship and training while working alongside departments including daily digital, print sections, photography, design, and research. This is a 10-week, paid, on-site program running between June and August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Report and write articles for digital platforms.
- Complete research for stories and photography.
- Contribute ideas and feedback during editorial meetings.
- Verify facts for accuracy.
- Assist with social media tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a college junior or graduate student in a degree program, with plans to return to school in the fall.
- At least one prior reporting internship at a professional magazine or newspaper, or a portfolio of exceptional published work.
- A demonstrated interest in features covering consumer trends, culture, entertainment, and technology.
- Strong writing and reporting skills.
- The ability to develop story ideas supported by data and original reporting.
- An appreciation for photography and design.
- A commitment to high journalistic standards and an audience-first approach.
