Food Service Worker - Student

About the role#

Dodge County is hiring a student Food Service Worker for a part-time position in Juneau, Wisconsin. This role supports the kitchen team in preparing and serving meals while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. The position requires availability for shifts from 3:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with additional hours available on weekends, during the summer, and school breaks. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and be assigned to a holiday group.

What you'll do#

• Assist the Cook in preparing high-quality, bulk quantities of menu items following established recipes.
• Prep hot dish ingredients and cold-serve foods.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, counters, and floors to meet Health Department standards.
• Maintain food storage and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
• Clear and clean tables and chairs after use.
• Monitor and report unsafe conditions, hazardous equipment, or accidents immediately.

What you'll need#

• Ability to follow recipes and cook in large quantities.
• Knowledge of quality food preparation, storage, sanitation, and equipment safety.
• Familiarity with PPE and proper use for personal safety.
• Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and protect privacy per HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to work tactfully and cooperatively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Location & details#

• Location: Juneau, Wisconsin.
• Schedule: Part-time; general hours are 3:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with weekend and holiday requirements.
• Pay: $16.85 per hour, plus a $3.00 per hour weekend differential.
