About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join our integrated design team to contribute to the design of mechanical systems for various building types. You will work alongside mechanical engineers and professionals across architecture and interiors to gain hands-on experience through the design process, from early concepts to construction administration.
What you'll do#
- Work with a licensed engineer to design mechanical systems for new construction and building renovations.
- Attend design team meetings to observe coordination among multi-disciplinary team members.
- Assist with the design and development of construction documents using Revit.
- Visit active construction sites.
- Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs from concept through completion.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year at an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program.
- Experience or interest in BIM workflows, such as Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Preferred: Third-year student in an accredited engineering program.
- Preferred: Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Preferred: Interest in architectural building design.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
