About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join our integrated design team in Cleveland. You will contribute to the design of mechanical systems for various building projects. This is a paid, full-time summer position. You will work alongside licensed engineers and professionals across multiple disciplines to gain experience with the full design process.
What you'll do#
- Work with a licensed engineer to design mechanical systems for new construction and building renovations.
- Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs from the concept phase through completion.
- Attend design team meetings and observe how a multi-disciplinary team coordinates its work.
- Assist with the design and development of construction documents using Revit.
- Visit an active construction site.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one year in an ABET-accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering program.
- Interest or experience in BIM workflows, specifically Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Preference is given to third-year students.
- Having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is a plus.
- A strong interest in architectural building design.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Cleveland, Ohio.
- The internship runs from May 18 through August 6, 2027.
- Work is on-site and hybrid, following a four-day in-office schedule.
