About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join our integrated design team to help create electrical systems for various building projects. You will work alongside licensed engineers and professionals from multiple disciplines. This position is part of our Emerging Professional Experience program, which includes hands-on project work, mentorship, and weekly learning sessions. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 18 through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects under the guidance of a licensed engineer.
- Attend design team meetings to observe how a multi-disciplinary team coordinates project requirements.
- Assist with the development of construction documents, primarily using Revit.
- Visit an active construction site, depending on the status of local projects.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
- Experience or interest in BIM workflows, such as Autodesk Revit MEP.
- Interest in architectural building design.
- A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

- This position is located in Overland Park, Kansas.
- The role is on-site and requires full-time attendance for the duration of the summer term.
