About the role#
The Safe Environment Office provides administrative and programmatic support for diocesan child protection and compliance initiatives. This internship offers undergraduate students practical experience in nonprofit administration, program coordination, and office operations within a faith-based organization. This is an unpaid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform data entry and maintain databases for training and compliance records.
- Organize and maintain both electronic and physical files.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and various program materials.
- Help coordinate training sessions, meetings, and events by preparing materials and tracking attendance.
- Draft communications and informational messages for parishes, schools, and volunteers.
- Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional office.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, Public Health, or Sociology are relevant to this work.

- This role is based on-site in Columbus, Ohio.
- This is a full-time, unpaid internship.
- Academic credit may be available through your university.
