About the role#
The Federal Work Study program at Diné College offers students the chance to gain professional experience while working toward their degree. You will provide administrative support to various departments, helping build your resume and office skills.
What you'll do#
- Help plan, schedule, and implement department activities.
- Coordinate and participate in group activities.
- Handle clerical tasks including answering phones, writing memos, and running errands.
- Manage office documents using word processing, faxing, and xeroxing.
- Create flyers and notices to help publicize special events.
What you'll need#
- You must have an unmet financial need and a completed FAFSA on file.
- You must qualify for Title IV funding and be in good standing with Financial Aid.
- You need to be enrolled in at least six credit hours.
- You must have completed two or more semesters at Diné College.
- You should be pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- You must be responsible, reliable, and punctual.
- You need the ability to adapt to new assignments and a willingness to learn department functions.
- You must demonstrate respect for your site supervisor and the program coordinator.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Tsaile, Arizona.
- Work is on-site only.
- This is a part-time position requiring 15 to 20 hours per week.
- The term is rolling.
