About the role#
As an intern in the Audit & Assurance Securitization practice, you will work with a team that supports investment banks, broker dealers, and asset originators. You will gain hands-on experience by performing complex procedures on structured product transactions throughout their lifecycle. This role provides exposure to various areas including Audit, Specialized Assurance, Accounting & Reporting, Controls, and Internal Audit.
What you'll do#
- Perform agreed upon procedures related to the full lifecycle of structured product transactions, including MBS, ABS, CMBS, RMBS, and CLO.
- Conduct loan file reviews, analytics, and evaluations of underlying assets.
- Review and assess transaction offering documents.
- Perform post-closing compliance testing and independently evaluate findings.
- Strategize with clients, attorneys, and other professionals in the fixed-income industry.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or Quantitative Finance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above, relevant work experience, demonstrated leadership, and meeting educational requirements for CPA licensure.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to co-locate at an office or client site on average 3 times a week.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% based on client needs.
- Residency: Must reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office.
- Employment: This is a paid, full-time internship. Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
