About the role#
Delaware Valley University is hiring a student worker to assist in the General Microbiology laboratory. This part-time role involves preparing materials and maintaining a clean workspace. You will work approximately 6 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Prepare liquid and solid microbial growth media.
- Sterilize media and biohazardous waste using an autoclave.
- Prepare biological samples for lab use.
- Maintain stocks of laboratory reagents.
- Clean glassware and other lab containers.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Delaware Valley University.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- A background in introductory biology with a grade of B or higher.
- A background in basic chemistry with a grade of B or higher.
- The ability to manage your own schedule independently.

- This position is located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
- Work is on-site.
- The role is paid at $10 per hour.
- The work environment involves standing or walking, exposure to chemicals and odors, and high noise levels.
