About the role#
Breeding Center staff members help with the daily care of horses and the upkeep of the facility. You will work alongside other students and the Breeding Center Manager to maintain a safe and clean environment for both the animals and the people on site.
What you'll do#
- Perform general stable work like cleaning stalls, feeding hay and grain, watering, and turning horses in and out.
- Assist with the safe handling of mares, foals, yearlings, and stallions for routine care, veterinary procedures, and breeding activities.
- Provide supplemental care such as blanketing, bathing, and administering medications or supplements.
- Complete facility maintenance tasks including scrubbing fences, painting, pulling weeds, decobwebbing, and shoveling snow.
- Work a variety of shifts that cover mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, holidays, and breaks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Delaware Valley University.
- Authorization to work in the United States with valid documentation.
- Previous horse experience is preferred.
- Completion of the Stable Management course is preferred.
- Ability to operate a small electric Gator, golf cart, or similar farm equipment is preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and work in outdoor conditions involving dust, dirt, and animal care environments.

- This role is located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
- The position is on-site and part-time.
- This is a paid position with a rolling term.
