About the role#
DEKA Research & Development is hiring a Systems Engineer Co-Op for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Manchester, New Hampshire. You will join a small group focused on the launch of a commercial medical device. This rotation lasts for 6 months, starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform device troubleshooting and root cause investigations.
- Conduct bench testing and document system findings.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions.
- Create systems documentation.
- Support cross-functional teams with clinical trial planning and execution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Bioengineering, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and an organized approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor with minimal direction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- A preference for candidates with hands-on project experience, such as automotive repair or metalworking.
- Wet lab experience is considered a plus.
