About the role#
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern supports our department with documentation, production tasks, and process improvements. You will work alongside engineers, production staff, and quality teams to learn how manufacturing processes function in an aerospace and defense environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and update work instructions for cable and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Maintain manufacturing travelers and apply redlines under supervision.
- Update ERP systems related to work orders and bills of materials.
- Manage 3D printing tasks, including file preparation and printing tools.
- Assist with basic 3D modeling projects.
- Review bills of materials for accuracy and support Material Review Board documentation.
- Document manufacturing issues and help communicate them to engineering leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to follow structured processes.
- Interest in manufacturing, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical products.
Location & details#
- Location: Los Angeles, CA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
