About the role#
As an engineering intern reporting to the Scheduling manager, you will contribute to projects involving the construction, repair, and modernization of ships. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to analyze needs, gather information, develop solutions, and support project completion. This role allows you to apply your academic knowledge while learning the operational realities of a shipyard.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze technical or operational information.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and tracking of activities and projects.
- Review plans, specifications, data, processes, and work methods.
- Create and update technical documentation, including reports, work plans, and tracking tools.
- Research and implement technical or operational solutions.
- Analyze requirements for resources, materials, equipment, and services.
- Perform site visits to conduct validations, measurements, and observations.
- Work alongside teams in engineering, production, procurement, IT, quality, and maintenance.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Monitor project progress and suggest process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities.
- Good problem-solving and synthesis capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Functional knowledge of both French and English to consult technical documentation.
