About the role#
As an engineering intern, you will contribute to real projects involving the construction, repair, and modernization of ships. You will work within departments such as engineering, supply chain, IT, production, planning, estimation, quality, or maintenance. This role allows you to apply your academic knowledge to operational realities at a shipyard.
What you'll do#
- Gather and analyze technical or operational information.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects.
- Evaluate plans, specifications, data, and work methods.
- Prepare and update technical documentation, including reports and work plans.
- Research and implement technical or operational solutions.
- Support the analysis of resource, material, and equipment requirements.
- Conduct site visits for validations, tests, and measurements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production, quality, and maintenance.
- Identify and resolve technical issues.
- Track work progress and suggest improvements to existing processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program for mechanical, electrical, industrial, computer, or software engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, rigor, and autonomy.
- Ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Functional knowledge of French and English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Successful completion of a security clearance process as required by the federal government.
