About the role#
The Senior Manager of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs coordinates the planning and implementation of orientation sessions across all Dallas College campuses. You will work with campus partners to deliver programs that support new students as they transition to the college. This role involves evaluating existing content to ensure it remains effective and relevant for our student population. You will also oversee the daily operations of orientation logistics and campus visit experiences.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate orientation sessions across all campus locations, including both online and face-to-face formats.
- Collaborate with college departments to align orientation with broader student success initiatives.
- Supervise and train part-time staff and student workers, including the development of a student-led tour guide program.
- Manage the campus visit experience, including registrations, attendance tracking, and feedback collection.
- Prepare and facilitate presentations, data, and reports to support decision-making regarding transition programs.
- Evaluate and update orientation content to improve efficacy and meet the needs of diverse student groups.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, education, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in orientation, transition, and retention.
- Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and research.
- Experience using technology for recruitment and orientation efforts.
- Ability to apply student recruitment strategies and orientation processes.

- This position is based on-site at the Mountain View campus in Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid staff position.
