About the role#
The Wealth Management Summer Internship Program offers an inside look at the financial services industry. You will work directly with experienced Financial Advisors and other professionals at our employee-owned firm. This paid program lasts nine weeks and requires a minimum of 25 hours per week. You will be placed in a branch office to observe how a successful, ethical practice serves individual investors. The program includes a week at our Seattle corporate office to interact with leadership and participate in team activities.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate on projects that support Financial Advisors and their clients.
- Observe the day-to-day operations of a wealth management practice.
- Participate in presentations, community service, and team building.
- Study for and sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of college by June 2027.
- Strong academic performance and professional drive.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to commit to the full nine-week duration of the program.
- Residence in the local area of the branch office or pre-existing arrangements to live there.
- Satisfactory results from background, reference, and credit checks.
