About the role#
This internship provides experience with data science in an enterprise setting. You will work on a designated project under the guidance of a mentor, with the goal of making functional progress that can be integrated into the team's portfolio. The program follows the firmwide calendar and typically overlaps with the academic summer.
What you'll do#
- Work on projects such as anomaly detection using deep neural networks, numerical optimization for manufacturing, or PII and PHI detection in natural language.
- Frame business problems as data science challenges and navigate the full lifecycle from research to deployment.
- Write readable, modular Python code and participate in code reviews.
- Use development tools including Linux, git, docker, and kubernetes.
- Collaborate on team development processes, define success criteria, and manage work item completion.
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Ability to apply correct model selection and training procedures to avoid common errors.
- Experience with the full data science lifecycle including research, development, and support.
- Understanding of source control, containerization, and deployment technologies.
- Ability to uphold firm values of care, trust, courage, and stewardship.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time internship for Summer 2026.
- The role is paid, with a wage range of $27.00 - $42.00 per hour.
